About the WF2020 Initiative

Rochester Area Foundation

The Mission of the Rochester Area Foundation is to strengthen community philanthropy by promoting responsible and informed giving and to assist donors in meeting their charitable objectives. The Foundation is dedicated to using its resources to improve the quality of life, promote greater equality of opportunities, and to develop effective methods to assist those in need in the greater Rochester area. The Rochester Area Foundation makes grants in the fields of arts and culture, community development, education, human services and recreation.

Workforce 2020 Receives Ventures Grant
The Rochester Area Foundation recognized and awarded Workforce 2020 with a $20,000 grant to further their efforts in finding innovative solutions to ensure that businesses have access- today and tomorrow- to an educated and skilled workforce. Currently the Workforce 2020 team looks to enlist the support of a consulting firm to drive this effort. This firm will help the team to examine how to make the most of our assets and position Rochester for continued growth and success.
